- SKIN REJUVENATION AT ACADEMY LASER CLINICS
Academy Laser Clinics in Sydney offer state of the skin rejuvenation and skin tightening treatments with CO2 Dot Laser. This powerful and advanced technology can be customised for nearly every skin type.
Fractionated CO2 Dot laser works by delivering thousands of tiny microbeams (DOTs) that penetrate the skin and trigger a natural healing process which forms new healthy collagen.
THE TREATMENT PROCESS
An initial consultation occurs where the doctors assess the patient’s skin to determine and advise the patient on the best treatment plan.
Approximately 30-60 mins before treatment a numbing cream is applied. Laser treatment is performed in clinic and depending on the area and condition being treated the treatment takes between 10-60 minutes.
Most patients opt to apply topical PRP post-CO2 DOT Laser to help stimulate collagen production and promote faster healing.
A post treatment care plan involves Statacel gel for a few days followed by QV moisturiser until healed. Patients should never pick at the area and should avoid direct sunlight and active sun creams until the skin is fully healed. Cold packs may be applied to relieve and help dissipate the heat.
Skin tightening and clarity maybe observed immediately following recovery although the full results take up to six months with the remodelling of new collagen continuing for up to one year.
To maintain good results it is possible to have a refresher CO2 DOT treatment every year or so.
- PHALLOPLASTY AT CALIBRE CLINIC
Calibre offers non surgical enhancement for phalloplasty. Calibre procedure works by the injection of dermal fillers just below the penile skin. The treatment is pain free and offers immediate results.
The injection of 15mg of filler lead to an increase of the penis’ girth when flaccid of 1 inch – when erect, this means an increase of about 0.5 – 0.7 inches. Due to the weight of the filler there may also be some growth in penis length when flaccid. As well as being suitable for enlarging the shaft of the penis, Calibre may also be used on the penis head, or glans.
Once your procedure has been completed, the filler remains workable for about 2 weeks. During this time smooth out any lumps, bumps or irregularities. After this time the fillers are naturally absorbed into the penile tissue and broken down over a period of 18-24 months or longer.
ABOUT THE PROCEDURE
The procedure begins with a doctor consultation to raise any questions or concerns regarding the size, treatment and likely outcomes. The doctor will explain the procedure, take measurements and advise on the correct treatment, as well discuss realistic expectation.
Preparation includes hair trimming, avoiding blood thinning and anti-inflammatory medications 3-4 days before treatment to minimise swelling and bruising.
Numbing cream is applied 15 minutes before the treatment.
The incline procedure occurs over 1-2 sessions. Filler will be injected and folded using a smoothing micro-cannula. Depending on the treatment the procedure takes between 30-90 minutes.
There may be some tenderness following the procedure most patients report no downtime and can usually return to normal daily activities immediately.
After the procedure, a stretchy bandage or silicone sheath will be wrapped around the penis to minimise swelling, assist with product placement and prevent retraction. This needs to be left on for a minimum of 24-48 hours and you may re-wrap if the bandage comes off sooner.
The penis needs to point ‘up’ for a few days after treatment.
For 2 weeks after injection there is some malleability to the product. Use this time to massage any bumps or smooth irregularities, but don’t over do it. The dermal filler will integrate with penile tissue after 2 weeks so any residual bumps after this time will need to be dissolved or break down over time.
Refrain from intercourse or manual satisfaction for 5 days and no unprotected anal sex for 1 week. Keep the penis clean and wash after sex for the first week.
- LABIAPLASTY AT ACADEMY FACE AND BODY
Labiaplasty is a surgical procedure to either reshape or reduce the labia minora (the inner lips of the opening of the vagina). Patients who undergo this surgery generally do not feel confident with the appearance of their vulva.
HOW THE PROCEDURE WORKS
The procedure begins with a confidential consultation with the doctor who will be performing the procedure.
This one hour surgery is performed under twilight sedation or local anaesthetic at the Academy Day Hospital using a free edging technique to deliver symmetrical and neat results without disturbing the labia minor, thereby ensuring a natural sensation is achieved post recovery.
Radiofrequency surgery is used, as it results in a quicker recovery and healing period. The edge is gently and securely closed with sutures that will dissolve.
Some mild to moderate discomfort may be experienced including bruising, discomfort, discharge and swelling. After one month resumption of sexual intercourse can occur if comfort permits.
